Keep your Deeper on top of the water and connected. Tow a bare Deeper behind a canoe, kayak or boat and every wave or bit of wake pulls it under, and every dunk drops the Wi-Fi link to your phone. The Deeper Sonar Life Jacket adds flotation so your sonar rides on the surface, and the connection stays steady while you paddle, drift or troll.

Why anglers use it

  • Steadier connection. Deeper's own support notes that waves can submerge the unit and break the signal, because Wi-Fi can't pass through water. The life jacket keeps it riding high.
  • Can't be lost. The sonar sits in a fitted seat and a threaded lock ring closes over the top.
  • Tows straight. A tow eye on the nose guides your line so the float tracks behind you.
  • Nothing to mount. No arm or clamp on your gunwale or deck.

How to rig it

  1. Drop the Deeper into the life jacket, sonar face down.
  2. Thread the lock ring on clockwise until snug (about 3 turns).
  3. Tie your line (paracord works well) to the Deeper's own attachment point, feed it through the eye on the front of the life jacket, then tie off to your boat.

Tying to the Deeper itself means the line always holds the sonar, so even if anything let go you would not lose it. Please always rig it this way.

  • Fits every 65 mm Deeper castable sonar: PRO, PRO+, PRO+ 2, CHIRP, CHIRP+, CHIRP+ 2, CHIRP+ 3, CHIRP+ 4 and Fishfinder 3.0. Tested on the CHIRP+ 3. See all models at deepersonar.com.
  • Deeper START: not tested and may not fit. It is a different shape (60 mm tall instead of a 65 mm sphere).
  • Use the Deeper without its night cover.
  • Size: about 122 x 176 mm and 30 mm tall (float body, including tow eye).
  • Printed in flexible, impact-resistant TPU in high-visibility orange with a black lock ring.
  • Designed, printed and shipped by Last Waypoint Fabrication in Ontario, Canada.
